Why should I use a sugar body scrub?

Sugar makes an amazing abrasive ingredient in scrubs. It's a natural humectant, which means it retains moisture and ensures skin is kept hydrated, making it ideal for delicate and sensitive skin, especially because it melts away upon contact with water.

Sugar is also known to be a pure, natural source of Glycolic Acid, also known as an AHA, which helps to break down dead, flaky skin and help support cell turnover. It's extremely effective at treating mature skin while still being gentle and non-irritating on sensitive skin. Combined with nourishing oils, sugar scrubs can be used before or during bathing for a thorough exfoliating treatment that leaves skin smooth, soft and supple.

You might even find that your skin care products work more effectively on exfoliated skin, as pores are unclogged and able to retain more moisture. Getting rid of dry, dead skin cells helps to reveal smoother skin which can also prolong the life of your fake tan.

What is the difference between Bare Bae's sugar scrubs?

Each Bare Bae sugar scrub contains different natural ingredients and oils. You can choose which scrub you prefer based on the specific ingredients, benefits, or scents. It’s up to you.

Watermelon Sugar Scrub - Gentle on the skin, it's great for babes with acne-prone skin. This scrub contains watermelon seed oil, which helps eliminate sebum which is the dirt and grease that builds up on the skin causing acne.

Coconut Sugar Scrub - Inflamed skin or just in serious need of hydration? This is your scrub. Allow the coconut oil to sink in and soothe your skin from the effects of problem skin. Your skin will feel instant calm and smooth as a baby's bottom.

Pink Grapefruit Sugar Scrub - Want to improve your skin's texture and complexion? This scrub contains Pink Grapefruit oil. High in antioxidants and vitamin C, it helps to tone, brighten and firm skin. Great for babes wanting to see less stretch marks and cellulite.

Pomegranate Sugar Scrub  -  Problem skin causing irritation? The pomegranate seed oil and rosemary leaf extract present in this scrub will give your skin much needed relief. It soothes and heals so you can catch a break.

Refer to my Goodness Glossary to find out the benefits of each ingredient.

What is the difference between coffee, sugar & salt scrubs?

Sugar Scrub Benefits – With smaller granules, sugar scrubs are perfect for sensitive skin and are a great option for the face. Sugar scrubs are less abrasive than salt scrubs and wont burn or irritate your skin should you have any cuts or wounds.

Salt Scrub Benefits – Salt scrubs are better for rough skin that could benefit from deep exfoliation, like the feet. They have detoxifying benefits and can extract toxins from the body and ease inflammation. They also make an excellent bath soak to soothe tired and cramped muscles.

Coffee Scrub Benefits – Full of antioxidants, coffee scrubs improve circulation and help skin become more uniform in appearance. Coffee is excellent in helping to reduce the appearance of stretch marks and scars.

FAQ

Why should I use a scrub?

I could sit here all day babe and I think I might. Regular exfoliation helps sweep away dead skin cells, revealing smoother, softer and velvety skin. When you exfoliate, you are also unclogging your pores, prevent acne, even skin tone, boost circulation, increase cell turnover and even assist with the skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis. So yeh, I’m pretty damn important.

How often should I use a scrub?

Scrub 2-3 times a week, ongoing for best results.

I'm pregnant, is this safe?

Bare Bae's product philosophy is to develop incredible and safe skincare using natural ingredients. As advice is constantly changing please consult your doctor before using me.

Can I use Bare Bae scrubs on my tattoo?

I don't recommend using any scrubs on a freshly inked body. You should wait until the area has healed completely before scrubbing.

I recommend applying light to medium pressure on the inked area when scrubbing.

How many scrubs are in one bag?

This depends on how dirty you like to get and whether you choose to use it on your entire body or focus on certain problem areas. However, each bag should give you approximately 8-10 scrubs.

How do I best store my body scrubs?

I’m not high maintenance babe. Simply keep me in a cool, dry place and keep me sealed for freshness.

When do my scrubs expire?

After you take my top off, I’m good for 6 months, but seriously why would you even need that long?
